The Voynich Made In China Toy Keyboard
I picked this up for one of my kids to play with at a village fete for the princely sum of £1 - yeah quite expensive!.
I have been playing with it for a while and it did have some quite rich tones there and a massive TWO note polyphony :D. The drums were ace and cheesy too. The keyboard is a pain to play and a lot of the notes miss trigger or double trigger to add to the fun.
So here's a song made using just this toy keyboard. The drums were sampled individually and a new groove recreated. Tons of EQ and FX were using in Adobe Audition to bring it to life as best I could. Lots of ropey playing too - tiny keys are damn hard to play :)
The song's called Made In China
as that's the only thing written on the back to tell me of its origins.
