Polymagoo Too
The main theme is multi-tracked JX-10 for poly synth, electric piano and high strings. A CS80 cuts in for pads duty at 1 min mark (OK it's the Arturia VST!) Korg DW6000 for deep bass lines, JX-10 sync lead line 1:15. An Elka EM22 analogue expander for more pad duties at 2:42 with a Poly 800 ditty over the top. JX-10 for exit theme at the end of the song.

Numbers have mystic powers and affect our lives. Different numbers influence us in different ways none more so than the power of 9. Is this the real life?, is this just fantasy, caught in a landslide, no escape from reality.
Roland S330 12-bit sampler is used for VP330 Vocoder Plus choir pads, VP330 strings build up and VP330 strings lead
Korg DW8000 is used for unison bass sequence (marvellously juicy)
Ensoniq Mirage for piano and organ duties
JX-10 for bell sounds, fuzz sync solo, string pad wah and the bass and pad at the end
Linn 9000 for drums (of course!)

Peter Gabriel's Shock The Monkey Remix
More of a re-do than a remix with a Drum'n'Bass feel - this may not be your "bag" though. I kept the tempo of the original and the lead vocals in the linear entirety including most of the song structure. This way the track remains more faithful to the original.
I kept Tony Levin's Chapman stick bass for the first half of the song before replacing it with a Juno 106 bass. I love the Linn LM-1 drums so much that they had to make an appearance too!
This is my first serious remix and it has been quite a struggle as it's a departure for me fitting my "style" onto someone elses. I hope you can manage to enjoy it.
Oh and monkey butter? Well if you can have goat's cheese, then why not monkey butter?
Emu Emulator IIIXP for extra horns and extra Hammond B3 layered with a Yamaha TG-55.
Juno 106 for bass and high slew riff.
Roland JX-10 for pad duties.
Hartmann Neuron VS for spacey phase pad.

It's be pointed out that that some adjustments to the current mix would improve the song. Not one to ignore good advice I have tweaked the mix further. Now the vocals sit better and everything is better balanced and fuller. I took the liberty of Maxxbassing the bass - he he.

More improvements have been suggested by my fellow music friends to tip the song into a better balance. The first tom roll has some dynamics in it and the synth solo is louder to match the vocal level. Again slight EQ and level adjustments on other tracks but I didn't use MaxxBass - that was a bit of a mistake for this song. Hopefully, it has more space and air and sounds a bit more professional.
